Alys Kuu holds a degree in Fine Art from the University of Barcelona (1991), where she specialized in painting. She works under the pseudonym Alys Kuu since 2011, although she only started showing her paintings in August 2019, mainly on Instagram. She feels at ease working from anonymity, by making her work public through a new identity.

Beyond the significance that her production might have in itself, she thinks that part of its value is the interest it has aroused in many people outside any institutional framework.

All kinds of collectors have acquired some of her paintings thanks to the diffusion of her oeuvre on Instagram, a medium that makes her work accessible to people from many countries.
