„The series „Memories“ is about childhood without social media. Jumping rope, playing marbles or tag, having time and going on adventures without supervision….

The motifs are based on collected photos – mainly from the 50s – 70s – traced with ink and collaged with papers. The individual layers of paper and the colourfulness underline the mostly positive memories of beautiful experiences from the past. The treatment with wax (encaustic) preserves these memories in the best sense on another level, besides the effect of the penetration of the individual layers by burning the wax into the paper.“
