Bretten-Anne Moolman grew up in a small town in the Karoo called Somerset East in South Africa. She spent a lot of her youth climbing mountains, collecting interesting stones and bits and pieces from neighbouring farms.

This fostered her love for the landscape and the environmental concerns she has about the landscape and earth in general. Her experience in participating in the ultimate Braai Master TV series and travelling 7000 kms around SA over a period of two month has been a major influence on her current perception of the SA landscape, its wealth of colour and diversity.

As a fine artist the challenge has always been to create a work that is true to her perceptions, may it be a thing of beauty or a message about human interaction / intrusion in the landscape.
